This woman was peacefully sleeping at Marks and Spencer in Lewisham. As I saw her I was at some distance from her, a line of clothes between us, I took out my little pocket sketchbook and started, it felt like birdwatching. As soon as I had sketched this one, another old lady, spotting her and thinking that that was a great idea, sat on the chair next to her and tried to let herself go too. Unfortunately she only managed to disturb the first one who, understandably irritated by the copycat, stood up and flew away.

Shop-sleeping
This woman was peacefully sleeping at Marks and Spencer in Lewisham. As I saw her I was at some distance from her, a line of clothes between us, I took out my little pocket sketchbook and started, it felt like birdwatching. As soon as I had sketched this one, another old lady, spotting her and thinking that that was a great idea, sat on the chair next to her and tried to let herself go too. Unfortunately she only managed to disturb the first one who, understandably irritated by the copycat, stood up and flew away.

Thank you Alina and Vince. I'm actually quite pleased by this one, sometimes they do come right. To watch those two lady interact was a very interesting moment of anthropology, that's how birdwatching with humans is called I think.
Max, is the Burger King still there and Thomas Cook round the corner from it? What of the WH Smith?
I'm quite sure that Burger King is still there although as I never been one of its clients I tend not to pay much attention to its fortune. Same for Thomas Cook.
As for WH Smith it is the cornerstone of trade in Lewisham and among its extensive selection of stationaries it stocks A6 notebooks with plain white pages that perfectly fit my pockets (99p).
