Thanks Vince, I wanted to draw a pirate and then it just added up. The pirate is inspired by two friends of mine that are both sailors and chefs and look quite like that.
Hi Matt, I know it's a bit gravitationally challenged. I might decide to re-do it now. I have an inking job and would be a good practice. I'm glad you like the gag, I was thinking whether it could become a story, maybe a children's story.

I've never seen a pirate pick up a turtle.
That's why I drew it, that's exactly how a pirate picks up a turtle.

Nice gag! Perhaps the turtle could look like he's 'hanging' from the pirate's hand a bit more? Centre of gravity seems off-
